Maileg Size Guide
Maileg sizes are a family, not a chart. Once you know that a Little Brother is smaller than a Big Brother, and that both live in Mouse-sized furniture, the rest falls into place quickly.
The confusing part is that Maileg runs two separate worlds side by side. The mice are sized by who they are in the family. The bunnies and rabbits are sized by number. Each world has its own furniture and its own house, and the two scales are close enough to look interchangeable in photographs without actually being interchangeable.
Here is how it all fits together.
The mouse family
Three generations, smallest to largest. Everyone here belongs in Mouse furniture and the Mouse Hole Farmhouse.

If you are buying a first mouse: Little Brother or Little Sister in a matchbox is the one to start with. It is the size most of the furniture, cars and bicycles are built around, and the matchbox makes it a complete gift on its own.
Bunnies and rabbits
Two things to know before the sizes. First, bunnies have ears that hang down and rabbits have ears that stand up — that is the whole difference between the two names. Second, their sizes are numbered rather than tied to family roles, so a Size 1 is not anyone's little brother. It is simply the smallest of the numbered range.

Teddies
The teddies run on their own naming — Teddy Baby, Teddy Junior, Teddy Mum and Dad — and they share the bunny and rabbit world rather than the mouse one. Teddy Baby is small enough for My-sized pieces such as the playpen and cradle, and the teddies as a group belong with Miniature furniture and the House of Miniature.

The four furniture scales
- Mouse — the main range. Kitchens, beds, bathtubs, cars, bicycles. Made for the mouse family.
- Miniature — for bunnies and rabbits in Size 1 and Size 2, and for the teddies.
- Micro — its own small range, for the Micro bunnies and rabbits.
- My — the smallest pieces. Made for My-sized rabbits, and just right for baby mice and Teddy Baby.

None of this is a rule. Plenty of families end up with a Size 3 rabbit sitting on the farmhouse roof, and that is entirely the point of the thing. The scales are there to help you buy, not to tell anyone how to play.

We accept gently-loved baby and children’s items that reflect the quality and care you’d expect from Hatched.
This includes:
- Clothing (newborn to size 8)
- Footwear and outerwear
- Accessories (hats, bonnets, blankets, etc.)
- Select toys and books in excellent condition
- Stuffed animals that are clean and well cared for
All items should be freshly laundered, free of stains, damage, or excessive wear.
If you’re unsure whether something is a good fit, we’re always happy to help — just reach out to reloved@hatchedbaby.ca
We ask that all pieces are freshly laundered, with no rips, heavy wear, or stains.
After 8 weeks, you can choose to pick up your unsold items — or we’ll thoughtfully donate them on your behalf.
Once your pieces sell, you’ll receive 60% of the sale value in Hatched store credit.
Credits are added to your Hatched account within 48 hours of the sale.
