Reloved by Hatched is our consignment programme — a way for beautiful children's pieces to find a second family rather than a landfill. Here is exactly how it works, so there are no surprises on either side.
What we accept
Baby and children's pieces that meet the same standard as everything else on our shelves:
- Clothing, newborn to size 8
- Footwear and outerwear
- Accessories — hats, bonnets, blankets
- Select toys and books, in excellent condition
- Stuffed animals, clean and well kept
Condition
Everything must arrive freshly laundered, with no rips, heavy wear or stains. If you would not happily hand it to a friend, we cannot sell it.
Brands
We look for thoughtfully made, high-quality pieces that sit comfortably alongside our new stock. Our Brands We Accept list is a good guide, though it is not exhaustive — if you are unsure, just ask.
We are selective, and we say no more often than people expect. Not to be difficult, but because everything on the Reloved rail has to hold its own next to the new.
How to consign
- Email us first. Send a description of your pieces, with photos, to reloved@hatchedbaby.ca.
- Book a time. We will reply and schedule an appointment to bring your items in. We are not able to accommodate walk-ins — please do not drop pieces off without an appointment.
- Get paid when they sell. Credit lands in your account as each piece finds its new home.
How you are paid
Reloved pays out in store credit: 60% of the selling price of each piece, once it sells.
Credit appears in your Hatched account within 48 hours of the sale, and is redeemable in store or online — on anything we carry, new or Reloved.
We do not offer cash payouts.
Unsold pieces
We keep pieces for eight weeks. After that you are welcome to collect anything that has not sold, or you can ask us to donate it thoughtfully on your behalf — whichever you prefer. Just let us know which when you drop off.
The small print
- Reloved pieces are sold as-is and are final sale — they cannot be returned or exchanged.
- Hatched is not responsible for loss or damage to consigned items while they are in our care.
- We reserve the right to decline any item, or to withdraw an item from sale.
- These terms may change from time to time; the version on this page is the one that applies.
