To Be a Christmas Tree

An award-winning holiday children's book from the publisher behind The Invisible String. To some, finding a Christmas tree is a yearly errand. But to each tree, becoming a family's Christmas tree is a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

To Be A Christmas Tree follows the heartfelt journey of a tree from his youthful years to his crowning moment as the centerpiece in a family's home — though it doesn't happen easily. In this beautifully illustrated story, readers watch this special tree cope with rejection, separation, and the frustration of watching other trees get chosen year after year. Author Leigh Marino leads children through these hardships in a way that helps them process grief and setbacks, all within a heartwarming holiday message.

A small, furry new friend eventually offers the encouragement and support that keeps this tree's hope alive — a true friend who knows when to hold on, and when to let go.
